Anglia Examinations – Worldwide Recognition
Anglia Examinations - England
Generalities & Recognition
Anglia Examinations offers an outstanding suite of fully certificated English language assessments designed to accommodate all ages and levels.
Anglia has a proven reputation for success based upon our step--‐by--‐step method of learning and testing, and personal approach when dealing with candidates.
Anglia Examinations works in partnership with AIM Awards to offer Ofqual approved qualifications for all candidates.
Ofqual regulates qualifications, examinations and assessments of awarding organisations operating out of England. They maintain standards and confidence in qualifications reporting directly to Parliament. They ensure that the qualifications they regulate reliably indicate the knowledge, skills and understanding candidates have demonstrated and that people have confidence in the qualifications that they regulate.
In addition, the AcCEPT Proficiency level is listed by UCAS as a qualification which enables British universities to use the qualifications to recognise international students’ competence in English language. To this end, the AcCEPT Proficiency examination has been designed to incorporate a stronger academic element within its first section.
At an international level, the qualifications are aligned to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). It was developed by the Council of Europe as a “common basis for the elaboration of language syllabuses, curriculum guidelines, examinations, textbooks, etc. across Europe. It describes in a comprehensive way what language learners have to learn in order to use language for communication and what knowledge and skills they have to develop so as to be able to act effectively.”
The following list features countries where universities/higher education institutions have either confirmed that they would be happy to consider the applications of students with the Anglia certificate for entry to their courses, or have accepted students in the past with this qualification or currently have students who applied using this qualification:
