Anyone who wants to learn English can take an Anglia Exam. There is no age limit for candidates. You can enter at the level of study you or your teacher considers appropriate.

What are the benefits of having an Anglia qualification?/ ¿Qué beneficios ofrece poseer una certificación Anglia?

Students study to gain an Anglia qualification for many reasons. Many universities will accept Anglia Proficiency if you want to study in the UK. Employers often like to see that a person has successfully studied a course in English. Others will take an exam just because they enjoy studying, and want to improve their English.

Anglia qualifications are valid for the rest of your life. However, as with all qualifications, the longer ago you took it, the greater chance there is that an employer or institution will ask you to reconfirm you skills to their satisfaction.

Are Anglia exams suitable for candidates of any age and culture?/ ¿Son los exámenes Anglia adecuados para candidatos de cualquier edad y cultura?

There is no age limit for candidates. Students will enter at the level of study they or their teacher considers appropriate. There is an Anglia Placement Test to help determine which level of examination is most appropriate. Anglia exams are taken in over 40 countries across 4 continents. They are written only to test English comprehension and candidates from any background should feel comfortable taking one.

No existe límite de edad por parte de los candidatos. Los alumnos pueden inscribirse en el nivel de examen que tanto ellos como sus profesores consideren apropiado. Existe un Test de Nivelación Anglia para ayudar a determinar el nivel de examen más apropiado para cada alumno. Los exámenes de Anglia se rinden en más de 40 paises en 4 continentes distintos. Sólo apuntan a evaluar la competencia lingüística y candidatos de cualquier cultura puede tomarlos.

Do candidates have to take every language skill (reading, writing, listening & speaking)?/ ¿Deben los candidatos tomar cada una de las habilidades competentes al uso de un idioma (lecto-comprensión, escritura, audio-comprensión y expresión oral)

It depends what you want to use the qualifications for. Your certificate will declare which skills you have taken examinations in. Some centres offer the possibility of optional elements at some levels.

Depende de aquellas habilidades que cada candidato desee certificar. El certificado claramente especifica cuales habilidades los candidatos han tomado. Existen centros de examen que ofrecen la posibilidad de componentes opcionales en algunos niveles.

How are the exams marked?/ ¿Cómo se corrigen y califican los exámenes?

Once the exams have been taken they are sent back to England, where they will be marked by a team of experienced examiners. For further information on the marking process go to the Policies and Procedures section.

How many hours of study must candidates do to pass their exam?/ ¿Qué carga horaria de estudio se necesita para lograr los distintos niveles de examen?

There are no minimum required hours of study to take an Anglia Exam. In order to achieve best results, please use the following table as a guideline of recommended hours for each level, based on the Common European Framework. These hours may vary depending on your every day contact with English. Find the table here
